Nashville made the list for best urban green spaces in North America!
After the city’s May 2010 flood, green infrastructure has become a top priority, and follows a prior commitment to add 22,000 acres of open green space to the city over the next 25 years. Shelby Bottoms Greenway and Nature Park in East Nashville got a boost with its bottomland hardwood forests, open fields, wetlands and streams. Nearby, The Silly Goose serves stellar locally-sourced sandwiches. Visit one of the city’s more unique sights – the life-size replica of the Parthenon – at Centennial Park. And hikers flock to the scenic 1,200-acre Radnor Lake State Park, home to an ecologically diverse number of wildlife habitats.
