If you live in the Hendersonville area, something exciting is heading your way. The Jones Company has announced a new development, The Retreat at Norman Farm, in Sumner County. With 150 acres and 240 home sites, we have plenty of room to build our amazing Inspiration Collection homes, and hopefully your dream home!
We will be bringing something fresh and unique to the area with this development. The land is full of natural elements from land first owned by the Norman family of Hendersonville. What used to be a pumpkin patch and local farmers market will now be transformed into a gathering place for homeowners and community members with plenty of open space, walking trails and amenities.
Not only is the land itself beautiful, it also offers a lot of great activities for those that love the outdoors. The lake onsite can be used for kayaking, paddle boarding and is the perfect spot for fishing. With multiple fishing piers and a lake that has been stocked with fish by the TWRA in recent years, it’s a nature lovers dream come true. It’s important to not overlook the family friendly amenities such as sidewalks with streetlamps and a natural playground. As a development focused on creating a community atmosphere fit for families, we paid close attention to these details.
Throughout the process, we have made our intent to preserve the natural state of the land very clear. To accomplish this, we are developing less than 50% to preserve the balance of the land to ensure that the natural elements will remain intact.
“We are very pleased to bring The Jones Company homes back to Sumner County,” said Ken Stricker, CEO of The Jones Company. “The Retreat at Norman Farm will be the first community of its kind. We are working closely with the city of Hendersonville to preserve the vast property of the Norman family and create an outdoor family atmosphere.”
We will also be paying tribute to veterans by naming streets in the development after them. Some of these veterans include John T. Alexander, James Gourley and Van Conder. All three of these men were very active in the American Legion Post #17 in Gallatin and The Jones Company believes it is important to commemorate and remember them.
The wait is almost over, as home sales are set to begin in November and building is set to begin in January. The Retreat at Norman Farm is zoned for William Burris Elementary School, Knox Doss Middle School and Beech High School.
