Field Operations Manager


Manage all field activities to ensure land development schedules and quality standards are maintained.


Field Activities.

Manage the development schedules for assigned projects.

Oversee the installation of entry monuments and fencing.

Oversee the installation of trails, playgrounds, and other common areas.

Ensure ramps and sidewalks are properly installed.

Oversee the installation of lighting and irrigation systems.

Oversee the installation of as-builts.

Ensure compliance with SWPPP plans.

Coordinate design, installation, and release with water, sewer, electric, and gas utility companies.

Work with customers and government agencies to resolve field problems related to the land development process.

Conduct walk-through inspections and coordinate lot turnovers with the Area Construction Manager and Builders.

Drive all communities for management of HOA and maintenance of all common areas.

Management Duties.

Manage the contractors responsible for designated communities.

Ensure the satisfactory completion of work by subcontractors, and follow-up on any problems or mistakes until they are thoroughly resolved.

Meet with and assist construction field personnel with resolving any issues related to land development.

Complete all other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift items weighing 50 lbs. or more.  Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders.  Must be able to traverse uneven terrain.  Must be able to function in an exterior environment that includes extreme temperatures.  Must be able to process information visually and orally.

Project Estimator

If you desire to be part of a great team, are good with numbers, understand blueprints, have good communication skills, and possess the ability to see tasks through to completion, then we want to hear from you.


Support all aspects of the purchasing process from contract to closing related to starts and variances.


Verify the accuracy and completeness of all contract information, including options and selections.

Complete price requests for all non-standard options.

Build house specific estimates

Estimate all non-standard options, including lot variance options.

Ensure the accuracy of all foundations, plot plans and pre-construction blue packs.

Manage the start release process.

Review and research variances on invoices and purchase orders received for payment.

Provide support to the Subdivision Coordinators.

Research and correct any problems with purchase orders and invoices.

Enter data into Excel and Trueline to generate monthly bills.

Submit bills to the accounting department for payment.

Approve all change orders for processing.

Print accruals for all jobs closed each month.

Complete all other duties as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Required experience:

  • Contract Review, Project Estimating for Home Builders preferred: 1 year

  • High school or equivalent

The Jones Company is seeking an experienced neighborhood builder/construction superintendent to join our team.  This position oversees the construction process, and supervises the work of subcontractors as well as internal construction technicians within the builder’s assigned Jones Company community.  The builder is responsible for ensuring that each and every home is brought to closure within the established time schedules and budgets in accordance with The Jones Company’s quality standards while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

At least 2+ years experience preferred.
